NON-INVASIVE PELVIC FLOOR TREATMENT THAT CAN GIVE YOU FREEDOM TO BE ACTIVE AGAIN AND GIVE YOUR CONFIDENCE BACK

WHAT IS FOTONA INTIMALASE?

Fotona IntimaLase is a non-surgical laser treatment that is designed to improve women’s vaginal health and function by addressing a range of issues such as vaginal dryness, discomfort during intercourse, and urinary incontinence. The procedure works by using laser energy to stimulate collagen production in the vaginal tissues, which in turn helps to strengthen the tissues and improve their elasticity.

HOW IS THE PROCEDURE PERFORMED?

The IntimaLase treatment is typically performed in-office and does not require any anesthesia or downtime. The procedure is minimally invasive and involves the use of a specialized laser wand that is inserted into the vagina to deliver the laser energy. Most patients experience little to no discomfort during the procedure and can return to their normal activities immediately following the treatment.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF FOTONA INTIMALASE?

The benefits of IntimaLase treatment include improved vaginal tightness and lubrication, reduced pain and discomfort during intercourse, and improved urinary control. The procedure can also help to improve vaginal atrophy, which is a common issue that occurs in women during and after menopause.

I'M I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR INTIMALASE VAGINAL REJUVENATION?

This procedure is a great choice for women who have mild to moderate urinary incontinence, and pelvic floor relaxation after child birth.  It is also helpful for women who have vaginal dryness, atrophy and pain with intercourse due to menopause and for women with sexual dysfunction due to recurrent inflammation and irritation.

Women who are pregnant or who have active infections or inflammation in the vaginal area should not undergo the procedure until these conditions have resolved or been adequately treated.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER THE PROCEDURE?

You may resume your normal activity immediately after the procedure.  In the following weeks you will start to notice improvement in the vaginal tissue.  Your body will begin to build collagen in the next 4-6 weeks.   We recommend a A series of 3 treatments and 1 maintenance treatment yearly after that.  Some women notice significant improvement in their pelvic health lasting 2 years.  Periodic treatments are helpful in counteracting the effects of natural aging and decrease the ability to build collagen as we age.  In this sense IntimaLase is a safe and non-invasive treatment for women who do not want to use estrogen and women who are not good candidates for vaginal estrogen therapy.

HOW IS INTIMALASE DIFFERENT FROM MONALISA TOUCH?

The MonaLisa Touch procedure uses a Co2 laser that creates small superficial injuries to the vaginal tissue.  The wavelength of the laser is such that it does not penetrate as deep into the vaginal tissue.  Intimalase uses Erbium laser which has a high attraction to water and also penetrates deeper into the tissue and is essentially non-ablative.  Erbium laser avoids pink discharge and vaginal bleeding post procedure and promotes tissue regeneration by stimulating the right type of collagen which does not produce fibrosis in the vaginal tissue.

Other treatments that pair well with Intimalase

PRP therapy for vaginal rejuvenation

While IntimaLase by itself can be helpful in improving vaginal tissue especially for women in menopause, management in conjunction with Estrace (estrogen) cream, and PRP therapy injections can augment and further stimulate collagen production to restore tissue quality as seen covered in GOOP magazine recently.
